summer in the big(?) city

Sunshine Coast.....

Last year we started a yearly trip to the Coast. Some of the best roads to ride in the Pacific Northwest with some great views and camping. It's a fucking great way to spend a long weekend.
Strap your tent to your bike and go was the idea and we are planning it again this May long weekend.

So May Long is coming up and the weather finally turned for the positive. We are going to hit the coast again. The highways are a great ride.
We will be leaving Saturday afternoon at about 1pm. We will meet in the parking lot at Pat's and then head over to the Horsehoe Bay ferry. Most likely by taking the low road. (marine way)

I thought this time if everyone is in we could hit Saltery Bay Provincial Park (http://www.britishcolumbia.com/ParksAndTrails/Parks/details/?ID=473 ) to camp the first night and hit Robert's creek ( http://www.britishcolumbia.com/ParksAndTrails/Parks/details/?ID=471 ) on the second.
Saltery Bay is 95.5 Kms from the ferry. About 2 hrs in a car. So roughly 2 and half on a bike.

There is a second ferry from Earl's cove to Saltery Bay which is $20. That gets you there and back. Its $15 a night for a site which you can get 3 bikes and 2 regular size or 3 small tents on.

Feel free to invite your old lady or friends that don't ride it's always nice to have a chase car.....
